Directions

Driving from Plettenberg Bay (Nearest Airports in Plettenberg Bay and George, car hire must be arranged beforehand):

• 20 minutes from Plettenberg Bay is the nearest town to Bahia Formosa.
• Drive approximately 20km from Plettenberg Bay towards Port Elizabeth on the N2 National Highway.
• Look out for a big Tourism Signboard that says “Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Elephant Sanctuary, Tenikwa.”
• Turn Right at the Kurland Village Turnoff which is opposite this sign. You will pass Engen Fuel Station on your right.
• Continue on this district road (Forest Hall Road) and keep left when the road forks. (If you go down Animal Alley you’ve gone the wrong way. Turn around and at the T-Junction, turn right.
• You will pass a little Stone Church on your right.
• You will pass Kurland Village on the left-hand side and the soccer fields on the right-hand side.
• The road will become a gravel road, where the road forks, take the right-hand fork.
• Approximately 1km further along turn left into Robbie Road.
• At the fork, take Odd Plot Road/continue straight on the right and Bahia Formosa entrance road will be on the right-hand side in 700m.

Driving from Port Elizabeth:

• From the N2 National Highway, Turn right at the Kurland Village Turnoff at the Engen Fuel Station.
